Amélioration de la stabilité transitoire et de l'amortissement des oscillations d'un réseau électrique à l'aide de SMES et de SSSC

Abstract : Fuzzy control of superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) and static synchronous séries compensators (SSSC) is used to improve the transient stability and damping requirements of power Systems. The effects of the SMES control on the Une power transfers are considerëd to design the fuzzy rules. The transient energy function method is used to détermine a control 'laW for the SSSC unit. A coopérative application of sliding mode control is considerëd to reduce the dependence on the learning process of the SMES fuzzy controller. This application permits the controller to continue its work in the absence of the off-line link with the System control center. The SMES and the SSSC units act quickly during the transient period following unwanted disturbances and hâve no effect on the normal opération of System. The practical implementation of the proposed control method is based on the local measurements. However, the system control center may be used to update the controller fuzzy rules against any large changes in the system configuration and opération. A transmission line which transmits the generated power of a generator to the rest of network and the New-England test system hâve been used in simulation , to show the validity of the proposed method.
