The recent decades have seen the emergence of new energy and environmental requirements and challenges giving rise to multiple reflections in the building construction sector (new and old construction). They relate, notably, to the development of innovative and sustainable building eco-materials. In order to overcome these problems, numerous research and development projects have been carried out. Among the latter, we might mention the substitution of cement by other non-biodegradable alternatives. This promising way permits to, (i) significantly reduce the environmental footprint, (ii) preserve natural resources and (iii) reduce the overall cost of construction. The literature reports recent works in this field dedicated to the mechanical and durability aspects of these glass eco-materials recycled. Nevertheless, their hydric and thermal behavior remains barely or not at all addressed. Within the framework of this thesis work, the influence of the incorporation of glass powder and mineral additions, including silica fume, on the mechanical, microstructural, hydric and thermal properties was undertaken. These experimental investigations have shown that a mass substitution of cement by 20% and 30% of glass slightly reduces the mechanical strength of concrete, which takes values ranging from 30 to 40 MPa. However, these values remain sufficient for the use of these eco-concretes in construction. In addition, the incorporation of glass in concrete improves its thermal properties and increases the moisture storage capacity. Furthermore, for purposes of simulating the coupled heat and moisture transfers within the building envelope materials made of these eco-concretes, a numerical modeling has been developed. Besides the inclusion of the dominant heat and mass transfer mechanisms, solar radiations and precipitation scenarios were considered. The transfer parameters were evaluated by an inverse method while reducing the characterization time. Thereafter, the experimental validation of the developed model was carried out through the design and implementation of an experimental platform at the LaSIE laboratory which is capable to study the response of a building wall (1.3x1.3 m²) to realistic climatic stresses. These were made possible, on the one hand, by the incorporation of sunshine and precipitation simulators and, on the other hand, by an instrumentation allowing the monitoring of the spatio-temporal profiles of temperature and hygrometry within the envelope material and at the level of the building's interior atmosphere. Finally, another typology of eco-concretes has been studied using a theoretical modeling approach. These are innovative materials with adapted and functionally graded properties "FGM". The elaboration of these materials is achievable using new 3D printing techniques, FDM fusion deposit design, and SLA stereolithography. On the theoretical level, the influence of hygrothermal stresses on the mechanical response is often neglected. The coupling of these constraints of Piola-Kirchhoff with the mechanical model of Green-Lagrange allowed a better understanding of the behavior of structures in FGM.Keywords: Characterization of green concrete, waste glass powder concrete, numerical modeling of hygrothermal transfers, wall true to scale experimental platform, experimental validation, functionally graduated material FGM.
